"A Crown With A Cause"

Princess of America's tagline is "A Crown With A Cause". We like to incorporate that philosophy into our program at the state and national level.

At a state level, we ask all the contestants to bring at least five non-perishable food items to pageant check in. The contestant who brings the most items wins the community service award. All of the items that were donated will be divided up between the newly crowned titleholders, and they will donate the items to a place that could benefit from them.

At a national level, we ask all the national delegates to make cards for our Cards Across The Country project. This project was inspired by the movie "The Letter Writer". These cards should be words of encouragement that will be passed out by the newly crowned titleholders. The goal of this project is to brighen someones day. No matter how big or small, an act of kindness can go a long way.

At the national level we offer the Ambasador competition. The Ambassador competition consists of a portfolio and panel interview that is community service based. We crown two Ambassadors. One in the junior divisions, and one in the senior divisions.

Each year our ten national titleholders are required to choose a platform that they will raise funds and awareness for throughout their reign. Each national titleholder and her platform will be featured on one page of our POA calendar. These calendars are sold and a portion of the proceeds will go to each girls chosen platform or "cause".

Theses are just a few ways that Princess of America promotes "A Crown With A Cause". We are also so proud of all out our state/regional titleholders who have done so many incredible things this year!
